Text Box: Johnson County 2000, Inc, a group of progressive businessmen, established a 30+ acre industrial park on Route 146, adjacent to the City of Vienna.  The Johnson County Industrial Park is located one-half mile from exit 16 on Interstate 24.  The park is located within the Southernmost Illinois Delta Empowerment Zone (SIDEZ) designation area, which offers empowerment zone business development incentives.  The site offers 6" water and 8" sewer extensions available to all building sites, with a concrete access road through the park.  The City of Vienna is the water and sewer supplier for the industrial park.  Rates for large users are negotiable, but for planning purposes they quote $14.08/2,000 gallons of water and $9.30/2,000 gallons of sewer.  Peak daily demand for the City of Vienna is 300,000 gallons of water/day and through an alliance with the Millstone Water District a virtually unlimited supply of water can be delivered to the area.  Ameren Corporation, the electric utility for the industrial park, has certified the location as a site ready for development.  The first building erected on the site, a 25,000 square foot speculative building, houses a 31-seat call center and the corporate headquarters of the Vienna Tax Service, Ltd, a locally owned Jackson Hewitt franchise operating in the 4-state region of KY, IN, MO and IL.
